Executive Board

President, Megan Wagner

Megan Wagner (she/her) is a junior from Pinehurst, NC. She is majoring in Political Science and Communication Studies, with a concentration in Media Studies & Production. She has been a member of UNC Young Democrats since fall 2019 and previously served as our Communications Director and Secretary.

She previously served as a Social Justice Advocate with UNC’s Residence Hall Association and has worked multiple positions with Carolina Housing.

She works with the Orange County Democratic Party as a Communications Committee member and as a Vice-Chair for the UNC Precinct. She serves as the Executive Assistant for County to County’s executive director and has previously worked as an intern for County to County and for Representative Verla Insko.

Vice President TJ White

T.J. (he/him) is a sophomore from Charlotte, NC. He is majoring in Political Science. He has been a member of UNC YD since Fall 2020 and previously served as our Civic Engagement Director and Programming Director. TJ is the founder of 450 Multimedia and Future is Now Charlotte.


Secretary Tommy Decker

Tommy (he/him) is a sophomore from New Jersey. He is majoring in Economics and Political Science. He has been a member of UNC YD since his freshman year and has previously served as our Civic Engagement Director.

Tommy currently serves at UNC Precinct Chair with the Orange County Democratic Party and as Phone Banking Co-Captain for County to County. He previously served on Barbara Foushee’s GOTV team.


Treasurer Ashley Masi

Ashley (she/her) is a junior from High Point, NC. She is majoring in Political Science and American History with a minor in Social and Economic Justice. She previously served as our Membership and Events Director.

Ashley is a member of the UNC Honor Court, Alpha Phi Sorority, Phi Alpha Delta (pre-law fraternity), Phi Alpha Theta (History Honors Society), and CJAA (Criminal Justice Action and Awareness).

Ashley previously worked as a volunteer for Governor Roy Cooper’s campaigns and as an intern for County to County. She is currently a member of the Cash Bail Committee for UNC Criminal Justice Awareness and Action.
